The Club ...

Since its foundation in 1978, the Club has attracted dog-fanciers to its simple but important mission: the promotion and improvement of the versatile (multipurpose) pointing dog, the French Spaniel. To reach the Club's goal, members share the following ideals and commitments:

 1.     Learn everything possible about all aspects of the breed;

 2.     live with an keep a permanent contact with the breed;

 3.     occasional breeding with the objective of a good quality pup;

4. being aware of the genetic disorders that affect any breed of dog, and making every
effort to minimize their occurrence;

5. making sure puppies are sold to responsible people, and offering adequate after-sale support;

 6.     breeding with a strict ethical code;

 7.     in case of serious problems the seller reclaims the puppy and finds the animal a new home;

 8.      collaboration among breeders for the benefit of the breed while encouraging healthy         competition among them;

9. assuring the well-being of its dogs in a faultless way, by proper feeding, training and integration to human society;

 10.   improvement of the breed has priority over individual glory and profit;

 11.  as far as one is able, to promote and compete with their dogs.

The sound and ethical promotion of a breed begins with the quality of the products one offers. The stockbreeders, members of the club, offer French Spaniels of an exceptional quality. Every day, this breed that was relatively unknown in North America about thirty (30) years ago, gains in popularity not only with hunters but also with those who want a wonderful family dog. The French Spaniel is calm, easy to train and docile with children. Hunters should not forget that the Quebec hunting season begins towards mid-September and finishes on December 31st. After the hunting season the French Spaniel, an exceptional versatile pointing dog becomes, for the remainder of the year, a wonderful house dog which the whole family can be proud of.

By his rules and leadership, the Club helps to maintain a strict, ethical breeding code among is members. Only in this way can the Club accomplish its mission: to improve and promote this wonderful breed - the French Spaniel.
